Quick Summary About Endodontics

Root Canal Rendering

Endodontics is a dental specialty that focuses on the treatment of conditions and injuries affecting the pulp, or soft tissue inside your tooth.

The root canal procedure may require one or more visits to our endodontist.

The goal of root canal therapy is to remove all inflamed or infected pulp from inside the tooth so that it can heal and a restoration can be placed over the treated area.

During your visit, your dentist will remove damaged and dead nerve tissue from the pulp chamber, then disinfect and seal the area.

When infections are allowed to persist without endodontic intervention, they can lead to severe pain, infection spreading beyond the roots of your teeth into surrounding gum and bone tissues, or even tooth loss.

Our endodontist will closely monitor your condition and perform any necessary follow-up treatments until you have fully recovered.

Root canal treatment is a routine process with very successful outcomes.
